Working with the moon

Moon water in it’s simplest form is water that’s charged in moon light. Because the Moon effects the tide there’s a natural energizing connection between the moon and water. Charged water can be used in so many ways. Some of my favorite ways are used to make ink for journal work or spell casting, mixed in tea for meditation, or added to a bath as self-care. All of which should be done from a place of love. Crystals aren’t necessary to create moon water but all crystals can be used with moon water for specific intentions. I do suggest researching the crystals you intend to use. Some may not be usable in water! The three stones, I’ve included in the intention packs, each have properties that magnify the power of the moon and help create that loving, open mindset ideal for good magic.

Rose Quartz- The biggest benefits of Rose Quartz is blocking negativity and it’s ability to open and strengthen the Heart Chakra. It helps prepare your mindset and opens you to the blessings or benefits you’re manifesting.

Clear Quartz- Clear Quartz is a natural amplifier. Meaning it magnifies energy and intention. It’s also a Crown Chakra stimulate. Crown Chakra is a key gateway to the universe beyond our bodies. It controls how we respond to the world around us. It’s key for a receptive conscious.

Moonstone- Used around your water container when charging, Moonstone will magnify the power of the moons energy in each of it’s phases. **do not use IN moon water**

A lot of what you’ll read about as you research revolves around charging your water with the full moon but each phase serves a unique purpose. I love the idea of using the moon’s cycle as problems solving series. There are eight phases in a lunar cycle but I prefer to work in a cycle of four. It’s less overwhelming for me but if you find success in the moon’s energy I’d encourage you to look at the eight phase cycle!

New Moon-This is a period of reflection and planning. It’s a prime time for shadow work, journaling, or introspection. It allows you to reflect on what you want or need. You can then begin shaping those ideas into clearly defined goals and intentions. In this phase I use my moon water most in inks or paints.

First Quarter- This is the phase of action. At this point the planning you started in New Moon turns from intention to practice. It’s a period of strength, creativity, and commitment. I use my Moon Water in teas before or during meditation.

Full Moon- Keep pushing! Full moon is the period where action is still necessary but we are also preparing to see transformation and harvest results. Full moons usually come with intense energies and can feel draining. I use my Moon Water at this phase to hydrate and energize!

Last Quarter-Take time to purge and cleanse. At this phase, evaluate what served you and what didn’t to prepare you for the next cycle. Also take time to see your progress and express gratitude for those results. Most importantly, take time to recharge. Self-care is essential in this phase. Moon water in baths or in your beauty routine can be help reset and prepare you for the work that begins again with the New Moon.

All my love,

Megan
